Here are a selection of game play screenshots from the game Elite Dangerous by Frontier:

Elite: Dangerous is a game that is currently in production and shall be the fourth game in the Elite series. It is basically a space simulation game where the player is able to pick their own role be it a trader, explorer, miner, pirate, bounty hunter or combat pilot. Frontier have been trying to gather funds for this project for many years but were unable until they decided to do it through Kickstarter. Elite is due to be released in March 2014 on Windows.

The aim of the game is to “Take a ship and 100 credits to make money legally or illegally – trade, bounty-hunt, pirate, assassinate your way across the galaxy.”

Factions
There are three major factions, the Empire, the Federation, and the Alliance.  Players can also compete in galaxy-wide faction challenges and contribute by completing mission goals and earn rewards. The outcome determines faction powers, territorial control, and what each faction does next.

Player status and rank
There are four player status levels, for combat, CQC Championship, exploration and trading, depending on accomplishments. Certain status or rank can grant access to a number of systems which require a permit. Benefits of some systems include ship discount prices.

I have been playing around with Skyrim images on Photoshop and produced some wonderful works of art as a result. Here I show some very simple ways to have a go yourself.

Here is the original image taken from the game, I think this game is so well done that the screenshot is a work of art in itself!

You can see how easy it is to manipulate this image in the below picture. Adding a simple patchwork filter to the image produces the following effect, making it seem as is the image has been stitched together:

Another filter can be applied to make the image look like it has been drawn with chalk on a blackboard:

Using a brush stroke filter you can achieve a nice little painting look-a-like:

Finally, you can really go to town on manipulating an image, it took me a whole five minutes to make something that looks vaguely like I have drawn the whole thing with a pencil! Have a look below:
